Planes of Fame – September 2014

Our next event will be Saturday, October 4th. The theme will be “CARRIER AIR WAR in the PACIFIC”—featuring the Grumman TBM Avenger. I’m sure there are many of you who were involved with the air war in the Pacific. On event days, the museum opens at 0900 and the seminar is at 1000. Come early to take some photos and mingle with fellow Naval and Marine aviators. There is always a speaker who is or was associated with that time and place. Whenever possible, weather permitting, there will be a flight demonstration of the featured aircraft. The museum does have a flyable Grumman TBM. There is always a raffle for a free ride in one of the museum’s vintage aircraft. So, come and get a ticket. The museum is located on the Chino Airport in Chino, Calif.
