Sailors of the Quarter – December 2014

soq2014We were honored to have the Sailors of the (4th) Quarter at our luncheon on 13 November. As you may recall, we are now presenting awards to eight (8) SOQ’s because we are working with four (4) units under the command of Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach. Each unit was represented as follows: Navy Operating Support Command Los Angeles (NOSC LA): LS1 Seife Woldeyesse for Senior Sailor of the Quarter (SSOQ) and HM2 Ekaterina Kirilchuk for Junior Sailor of the Quarter (JSOQ). Coastal Riverine Squadron 11 (CRS 11): EN1 Matt Crandall for SSOQ and BM2 Diego Aguilar for JSOQ. Navy Munitions Command CONUS West Division (NMC): GM1 Jesse Gonzales for SSOQ and GM2 Rodney Otwell for JSOQ. Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach (NWSSB): MA1 Christopher Noeth for SSOQ and MA2 Casey Morgan for JSOQ. Also present were Senior NCO’s ADCS Reeder (NWSSB), MNCS Caver (NMC), MNCS Dorbandt (NMC), LSC Whitaker (NOSC LA), and OSC Estrada (CRS 11).

Each sailor received a gift from USAA and Gramps, along with gifts from The Crab Cooker Restaurant in Tustin, Fresh N Easy Grocery Store, O’Malley’s on Main, Yucatan Grill, Beachwood BBQ, The Pike Restaurant, Hennessey’s Tavern, and/or Athens West. Thank you very much to ADSC Jeffrey Reeder for handling the introductions of each of the sailors and NCO’s. Additional thanks to Sel Ramsey and George del Gaudio for their efforts to make the ceremony work and the gifts to be distributed
