C.O. Briefing December 2019

Let me just say that it has been quite a year for Grampaw Pettibone Squadron.  Our speakers have been very interesting and informative.  We have had a good mix of active duty, retired and industry presenters.  Thank you, Cindy Macha, our Ops Officer, for scheduling these fine speakers. Our Webmaster, Viki Nazarian, has been hard at work updating the GPS website.  She also created our Facebook page where everyone, member and non-member, can keep up with GPS activities, past and future. Thank you, Viki. Also, a shout out to David Malmad for getting our group info into the Fall issue of Wings of Gold! Way to go David!

I do hope that you will help our squadron maintain a leading position in ANA by attending our luncheons and by bringing a guest.  Without new members and participation, we will have difficulty getting good speakers as we have in the past.  If you have any suggestions for building membership, please contact our Membership Officer, CAPT Sel Ramsay, USN (Ret.) or me.  We would appreciate fresh ideas.

There are two things that I am looking forward to this month: first, our speaker, COL Woody Spring’s presentation on 12 December, and the Army-Navy game on 14 December at 1200.  I will not miss either one of them.  After the game is decided, I will turn to the holidays.  I wish each and every one of you and your families a wonderful holiday season and a very happy, prosperous New Year.  Above all I wish you and yours, a Healthy New Year.

GO ARMY, BEAT NAVY!
